The time has come to pick the bests of the year, I will usually do this around every month but since the year is ending it seemed fitting...First let me explain that these are not necesarily songs, people, movies, etc. from this year, there are however those things that I liked the most this year or that I have indentified with the most, so I will now introduce my partner in these crimes...Patrick Crawford from South Carolina (Clemson University)

the first list of these are mine the second post is Patrick's picks...

Song of the Year: "Alive With the Glory of Love" - Say Anything

this was the hardest pick for me because all of these songs at some point where the top song but this song by Say Anything reminds us of our invincibility that we once had and that some of us still have, the days of football fridays and now of football saturdays, the days of going to the mall in a group of 15 people and not buying anything, eating 5 burgers before soccer practice and 5 more afterwards and still being the most in shape people in school, waking up @ 7 am for 7 pm football games on saturdays and backyard parties...

LSU, Ohio State, Southern Cal, Michigan, South Carolina, and Florida...

Today was November 16, 2007...a day that shall live in infamy....

mine anyways...

I woke up as usual to a phone call from Emily which is always a great start to the day, we talked for a while, she went to the gym and I wrote my dream blog...

Afterwards I started to get ready for our soccer game, the 2007 CASA League Playoffs, #1 United FC v. some team I dunno, but to their credit they were the only team to beat us in the regular season and they did 6-4...now to our credit when we played them we had already played a game 2 hours earlier and it was a 0-0 tie...

It was a brisk 44 degrees @ 2PM in Northeast Philly @ gametime and I was starting as usual in goal...after a save or three, they have a free kick, i got the wall in position and their shot taker literally bent it like beckam into the goal...(1-1)...after another couple of saves we had an aerial battle for the ball and the guy i was defending against stepped on my hands and bent one of my fingernails backwards sendign pain through my hand, i played through it for 30 mins but the cold and me not wanting to hurt the team forced me to come out of the game...late into the game they scored their 2nd goal and went up (2-1)...i came into the game as a forward but even a mocha spark couldnt lead us to victory and we were upset as stoppage time commenced, a game we were heavily favorited to win we didnt...the playoffs and the season are over and we joined, LSU, Ohio State, Southern Cal, Michigan, South Carolina, and Florida as teams that were heavily favored in the their games and played like crap and lost anyways...

The day wasnt bad that, I was very thankful for this experience and I feel that I became a dependable goalie and I cant wait for the indoor season to start...

I got back to the house and lounged around with the Broderson family here and educated them on hunting the Southern way and other Southern traditions...Northern people are so funny...

After i stuffed myself with lasagna I performed a dress rehearsal for the family here and afterwards was greeted with high praise...I packed the car with the piano and accesories and was on my way to campus to perform a song I had only writted two days beforehand...

I was getting pretty nervous on the way there so I called my pop and I gotta say he was able to calm me down so well, it was only because of him that the performance went well, he prayed with me on the phone (i kept my eyes open while i was driving) and had great fatherly advice...

I got to campus and was told I'd be playing like 30 mins earlier than planned, not a big deal so I just got ready and got on stage and called Emily and put her on speakerphone...right before I played I got everyone in the room to shout "happy birthday emily" to her and then proceeded on with the playing (afterwards I could hear whipsers of "he's so cute" and "i like this guy"), not going into unnecessary detail the performance went well, better than i thought after I went back an listened, ill be posting the performance or a copy of the song on the site soon...

So now im back in Penn Valley, watching Clemson lose to Boston College, I hate both but for the sake of the alma mata (thats University of South Carolina by the way, GO COCKS!) go BC! Im terribly tired and emily's partying so I'm going to go to bed while watching "Rocky IV"...that bastard killed Apollo, you better win this one Rock...

...Clemson just lost :)

I told her I couldnt date a celebrity...

Last night was an odd adventure and only because apparently I was dating Ashley Olsen...Now I have trained myself to be able to somewhat control my dreams and those of you that know me know that I studied dreams a lot back in that day and dabble a bit now. I dont even think the Olsen twins are that hott but oh well I was interested in the dream so I let it slide with no interference.

It started out as me, my buddy Derek, and his g/f Natalie, and some random dude and his gf which later turned into my buddy Brandon...We were all cramped into a small room about to go to sleep but they put a movie in and i couldnt stay awake to watch it. It wasnt until the movie was on and woke me up that I even noticed that there were girls around so I woke up went in the other room to get some milk and there was Ashley Olsen, with puppy dog eyes and the loneliness of a sailor sitting at a table playing solitaire, corny even for a dream, eh?

I sat down and played a card game or two with her, then we joined everyone else in the movie watching, eventually a lot of time skipped in the dream and we were out to dinner with my family getting pizza, Ashley gave me what she couldnt eat, it was a nice gesture...

In another scene we were just walking around in my back yard about to go to one of my soccer games (relevant because I have a soccer game in a couple hours). While we were walking I asked her if she was Mary Kate or Ashley and hesitantly because it was like the 8th time I had asked...she said,

"which one do you want me to be?"

and i replied, "the one that has been being nice to me this whole dream" (haha guess i interferred a little bit by accident)

Turned out that the nice one was Ashley and Mary Kate was an asshole. We were throwing a frisbee around when it went behind the air conditioning unit, she went to get it and i told her to be careful because our babboons arent that nice. She tries to pet while I try to defend her and thats when she started to fall for me, I told her I couldnt date a celebrity then she said,

"well you're an all-star goalie why not?"

and i said, "touche"

Scrubs Episode of the Moment: "My First Day"

Scrubs was created in 2001 by the brilliant mind of Bill Lawrence. This is quite possibly the best show on tv that no one is watching. The show is in its 7th and believed to be final season and the 6th season just was released on DVD (which I just bought!). I must say that I completely love this show so much not only because of its humour but also because of the identification of the characters. Me friends are constantly making the connections between Me ans Turk and one of my best friends Denis (see "Ewww, they call that food?!") as JD...

A little more amusing thing to me is that Emily seems to be a perfect mix of Eliot (Sarah Chalke) and Carla (Judy Reyes) [she has all the spunkiness of Carla but is still as white as Eliot]

Maybe that now JD, I mean Denis has Joanna she can fulfill the new Eliot role and Emily won't have to have a split personality and we can all four be the happy family that we were meant to be, haha...THIS IS SCRUBS!!!!

it works right? we shall see, exciting stuff this be...
"My First Day" was the very first episode of Scrubs and it is the episode of the moment to commemerate the opening of our time here together...
The whole episode is all about JD witnessesing the first death of patient, wanting Turk to move back in with him and not leave him for the Todd, applying the nice guy and asshole roles to Dr. Cox and Dr. Kelso, and JD meeting Eliott...
this is a clip of the episode:

Restaurant Review - Sun Valley Pizza Co.

SUN VALLEY PIZZA CO.
Penn Valley, PA 19072
Montgomery Ave.
7 1/2 out of 10

I have had two pizzas from the Sun Valley Pizza Co. on Montgomery and they were at the opposite end of the spectrum from each other. The first was my first days in Philadelphia when Emily and I searched endlessly for a Pizza joint to stumble upon this one steps from my front door. We were craving some pork fried rice so we put our order in @ Sun Valley and went a couple of roads over to City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd to get some only to be shunned because they were closed, amazing since there were three other couples eating in there and I would have been convinced it was racism if 1 of the couples wasnt black, the other was mixed, and the other couple was george washington and harriett tubman so i chalked it up to my smelly balls...so after a shower we went back to to Sun Valley and got our mushroom and extra cheese pizza, and it tasted like my smelly balls would have, but we chowed down...pubics and all this pizza got a 3 out of ten

(insert pizza pic here)

the second pizza was completely the opposite...the day was November 8, 2007 emily and I's 2 year anniversary, significant because emily in all of her glory from South Carolina had the pizza made in the shape of a heart and sent to me before my soccer practice..."somebody cares a lot about you man" said the mustache of the guy delivering the pizza, maybe it was the pizza or maybe it was the thought but it was perfect and got a 10 out of 10
